A Calm Return Flight-Perfect.

After a layover in the huge Bangkok Airport, it was time to go home.

A380 - 12h45min flight on the schedule- 12h10min in reality. A long night flight.

We were in the off-season, during the week so the plane was about 70% full. We asked at the gate if it was possible to change seats in order to have more space. They cheerfully said yes and we got 4 seats for the 2 of us.

The only drawback was that they were in the middle, but for a night flight that's OK.

Standard reception and departure was on time.

Standard night flight, 2 meals, they passed out beverages, sandwiches were available in the galleys.

The cabin was clean and so were the bathrooms and they stayed that way throughout the flight.
Friendly and professional flight crew.

Arrival was slightly early after a calm night where we were able to stretch out in turn, very appreciated. And all of this was in the calm cabin of the A380, which is always comfortable and quiet.

Love is in the Air

An excellent price/quality ratio

The seats were acceptable and there was a wide variety of entertainment. The meal was adequate with generous portions. They allowed 66lbs of checked baggage. Takeoff and landing were perfect. The cabin temperature was comfortable. The crew was helpful and attentive to the smallest need. The check-in and boarding systems were practical and efficient. There was a drawback when it came to punctuality but it didn't really affect the flight in any serious way.

Hell Air

Hello,

I’m going to summarize it in the simplest possible way to save you from the details. I will only take the local times.
Expected itinerary:
- BKK (departure at 8:50 p.m.)
- BAH (11:50 p.m. - 00:30 a.m.), a 40-minute stopover
- CDG (arrival at 6:25 a.m.)
Ok, when I got my ticket they told me boarding was expected for 7:50 p.m. At 9 p.m., there was still no information. Everyone was waiting like an idiot. We took off at 9:40 p.m. Still no information, not even an explanation for the delay. The flight attendants spoke English with an incomprehensible accent. We arrived in BAH at 1:30 a.m. NO ONE was there to inform me that my flight took off without me. I had to go after the information to be able to find the right counter. They told me the next flight would be in 24 hours. I wanted a faster way, so they offered me another flight operated by a different airline, with an extra stopover. And so, I have now been waiting for 30 minutes while they look for my luggage. I will then have to fly to Doha, in Qatar, within four hours and wait there for two hours before heading back to Paris. At the moment, I am still waiting for my bags in front of the counter. I’m standing, as there are no seats. I’m never flying Gulf Air again.

Cheers.

Chaos at departure

I didn't understand why they asked us to check-in in advance, something that's not always easy to do mid-journey, and it was total chaos at the airport where we were queuing up for an hour and a half. That's pleasant for pregnant women. It meant we were prevented from getting a few items we'd planned on buying. Service seems to be suspended between the two meals.

I eventually discovered that we could go and serve ourselves drinks or snacks, but it's tricky when you're next to a fairly unpleasant person who's sleeping.
It was impossible to get to sleep in that cramped space for the whole twelve hours of the flight. It was very cold, despite the blanket. The landing was a little askew.

Attentive service

This was a flight I took for professional reasons, accompanying a patient on a stretcher.
The cabin crew showed themselves to be very attentive in this particular situation.
As for the rest, it was economy class of a high standard. There was sufficient seat space. The food was perfectly acceptable.

We were a little behind schedule taking-off but the lost time was made up during the flight.

Very good

Flight from Paris to Bangkok via Dubai.
Aside from the problem of long stopovers, this airline is very good. On the way back, we flew on an A380, and it had a super economy class! On the other hand, I would still say that it's the best if you don't fly on an A380. QATAR has better service from the most pleasant flight attendants on identical planes.

Average...

Not necessarily a great airline. But for people like me, who are looking to travel for less money, it’s not bad.

The seats are small, and I was entitled to two previous generation A330 Airbuses. Impossible to have any entertainment. The food is decent, nothing more. The cabin crew was rather pleasant. Total security on board.

I will also criticize the airline for the hour delay, which prevented me from catching my train at Charles de Gaulle airport. I then had to pay an extra 100 euros, which is a lot for a student like myself.

However, I would take this airline again, if it is the less expensive, because I’m not looking for excellence. But I think the Gulf airlines offer a more interesting value (especially for Thailand).
