Disgraceful service

Note: This review is about an experience that happened more than 2 years ago.

I strongly advise you not to travel with this airline, especially if Cusco is your destination (departing from Lima) or vice versa. As this airline is not equipped with the same system as LAN, the planes are very frequently left stranded on the ground as soon as it gets a bit cloudy at Cusco.

The main problem is that the personnel who receive you/check you in at the airport (in Lima in my case) don't provide you with any explanation (I found out some time afterwards, thanks to a friend who works for the airline, that it was their system that had prevented my flight from taking off). The same individuals are also not in a position to tell you whether your flight is simply delayed, or cancelled full-stop. They refuse to let you see their "libro de reclamacion", even though they are legally obliged to do so in Peru, and it's where you can report these types of problems. Finally, they categorically refuse to give you a refund for your flight (even a return ticket) under the pretext that they are not responsible for the climate (they don't explain to you at that point that it's down to their system not performing as well as those of other airlines).

Even faced with the most incisive, logical and sincere arguments in the world, this airline and its employees demonstrate exemplary bad faith, and customer service that is worse than pitiful. If you want to travel in safety and maintain your calm, it's worth paying a bit extra for a ticket with another airline.
