I was skeptical about flying with Virgin Atlantic given how unhappy some passengers were. I was wrong! During boarding, there were no distinctions between economy and business classes: both boarded at the same time, but using different gangways. The plane was a Boeing 747-400 (G-VWOW). The televisions were a little too dark for my taste, but they offered a wide choice of varied entertainment, including games, music, and some films in French. The airplane's aging seats weren't a problem for us. The legroom was adequate for an economy class. From the beginning of the flight and up to the end, the cabin crew was very attentive (unlike the AF and Lufthansa crews). They constantly made sure that we had everything we needed. The meals were the best I've ever had in economy class: hot meals with brand-name desserts (Gu). Towards the end of the flight, a small snack was served along with ice cream. The airline was very punctual. We got off the plane at exactly the scheduled time and landed a few minutes early. I highly recommend this airline.
