Everything began badly. I had an Etihad ticket under an Air France reservation number, but the flight was operated by Virgin Australia.
The first disappointment was that they didn’t want to check my bags until I got there. That meant that I had to get it to Paris to recheck it, which was a nightmare.
Virgin Australia is one of the few airline that doesn’t offer online check-in.
Result: I arrived 2:30 before the flight but I was the 252nd, no more window, they found me an aisle seat in the first row, where all the babies are. It was 14 hours of constant crying, which was hell.
There was a small travel kit, which was small, but deserves a mention.
The meals were good, the crew was nice and the plane was very recent.
It’s too bad that the registration and the airplane seat really made this trip terrible, not to mention the luggage.
I’m not sure I would repeat the experience.
