3 flights for our 3-week trip to the United States: Paris - New-York then New-York - San Francisco a few days later, then Los Angeles - Paris for the return flight.
A very good quality/price ratio: €555 for a USA/France round trip + €165 for the internal flight ($20/per checked piece of luggage on the internal flight).
Very friendly and accommodating crew.
Clean planes (although it still felt like the seats were worn), even for an 11-hour flight
On the return flight, departure was scheduled for 10:45 am from Los Angeles for Paris with a layover in New-York. When we it verified it the night before, the flight was no longer there. We learned that the flight had been replaced with a flight leaving at 11 am with a layover in San Francisco. Not a big problems in itself (arrival times were almost identical), but an e-mail or SMS the night before would have been appreciated.
Beer cost extra (and all alcohol in general) which is too bad on a long-haul flight, especially when it's overpriced (close to $10).
Note: the flights could be operated by United or another airline in the Star Alliance group (Air Canada, for example), so the drinks were completely free on the departure flight.
At this price, I would take United again if I needed to.
