It was a short flight of about 40 minutes. The wait in the boarding area was longer than the flight itself. This flight is usually on an ATR 42 or 72, but because the Tunisair ATR fleet was undergoing maintenance, the airline used a CRJ 900 for this flight.
We finally boarded and everything was ready for takeoff, but we still had to wait for over 15 minutes inside the plane because of two passengers who were late. After this wait, the plane taxied on the tarmac to the runway and received the green light for takeoff.
Because of how short the flight was, we began to descend the minute we reached our altitude. The weather was good, so we were able to see the Egadi Islands (Favignana, Marettimo, and Levanzo). Just before landing, the sky was suddenly covered with clouds due to Palermo’s mountain. Thanks to our pilots, though, landing was soft.
A nice flight. There was some turbulence, some clouds, sun, and some sort of cloud layer in the end.
