Awful food and no comfort kit I flew from Northern Ireland to catch my flight from London Gatwick to Toronto to attend a family funeral. Firstly I was shocked that the airline did not have seat back TVs.
I had been to Toronto in October 2016 with a different airline and oh boy what a difference. I cannot believe that you are expected to pay for a blowup pillow, earphones and a small blanket!
Shame on you Air Transat... and then the food... I have a severe cheese allergy and could not believe firstly that you were only offered a soggy sandwich, but every single one had cheese in them, the vegetarian option had pesto which also has cheese so that was out as well and then to add insult the snack before landing had indeed cheese again, a slice of pizza! I told the stewart that I could not eat cheese and in fairness to him he said he would check club class to see what was available and guess what I got an apple! An apple for an 8 hour flight appalling.
The return flight offered exactly the same food, however I did get a slice of banana cake for breakfast!
Will never use this airline again and I don't think that £342 was that cheap for a flight with such awful food and cabin comfort!
I paid £350 for my flight in October with a different airline, but as I needed to be there for my brothers funeral then I was more tied to days that I could fly hence I choose Air Transat. Never again.
