Will not fly with this airline again

Review of Mikecaiden about the flight Air Transat between Vancouver and London Gatwick on 01/06/2016 in Economy

Having flown with this airline but this last time was beyond belief. Do they really think that the new Bistro Menu is good enough for an 11hr flight? That's after sitting on the tarmack in Calgary to pick up more passengers, we were at the rear of the plane so when they did finally get to us there was no choice left to pick from the Menu. Just what was left an deny way who wants a Sandwich on a long haul flight, then just before we landed in Gatwick they came around with a slice of lemon cake. What a joke, the same things happened on the return trip, we did notice that the flight Crew had nice hot food for there lunch. It should not matter where you sit on the plane I would expect the same choice of food.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the new meal service on your recent flight and I am sorry that the meal did not meet your expectations.

After an in depth review of the selection of meals offered on Transatlantic flights, we made the decision to switch to the New Bistro style menu currently on offer and I am sorry that there was no choice available for you. Whilst the new menu is varied, we no longer offer the selection of special meals previously available or accept special requests prior to travel. We do appreciate you taking the time to write to us and we are taking all customer feedback seriously. As this is a new service we are keen to hear our passenger’s thoughts to help us make improvements and move forwards. Once again I am sorry for any disappointment caused and if I can help with anything else, please let me know.

After such a flood of negative feedback on he new menu, you would think that any business minded person would take note and implement an immediate change in order to keep passengers happy and coming back in future. Not me, as Air Transat does clearly not value their clientele!

well , I totally agree with Barethomas' comments..... I won't be using this company.... their mealy-mouthed reply -- did not address any issue... just said "Sorry you were disappointed...if there is anything further we can help with./." WHZT help or solution or excuse was offered ??!!... I didn't see anything in the reply from Elaine Gallagher -- Customer Service Manager -- that addressed any customer concerns .... NOT a Airline that I will use....
