Tried online check-in 24 hours in advance of departure - no seats available.
Arrive at airport 3hrs early - attempt self-service kiosks - no seats available.
Queue for 2 hours - no seats available.
Placed on standby - at the end of boarding no seats available.
Service from TA staff - rude and unhelpful.
Had to queue to get onto the next flight for over an hour again. Girl dealing with my request sat chatting on WhatsApp instead of apologising and actually engaging with me.
When I challenged her on it, her colleague told me that "they were humans too" - it's a shame TA did not apply the same principle to me.
Put in a nearby hotel - had to get up at 4.30am to catch my flight (which departed 45 minutes late).
All in all, about 19 hours of travel time.
Will never fly Turkish Airlines.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
