Night flight with dinner on board. The plane, a relatively recent Airbus A330-200, was at least 60% full.
I had a good seat during the flight: Seat no. 66K, in the back, window seat and no one next to me in a row of 2.
One thing, the incline of the seats was too straight for my taste, even if the space between the rows in economy class was more than generous.
The flight crew was very friendly and attentive. I found the dinner a little too basic and the portions were small. Starter: a salad with smoked fish, main course: beef tenderloin, sautéed potatoes, cheese and fruitcake.
On the other hand, unlimited alcohol and wine was served throughout the entire flight.
The in-flight entertainment was mediocre: too few films and TV shows with a French version (too bad for me, since I speak French).
I also wish there had been announcements from the pilot during the flight. For example: when we crossed the equator or flew over towns, the equatorial forest, etc.
Overall I liked this flight for its punctuality and comfort. I recommend South African Airways, which in my opinion is a good airline because of the quality of its crew both on the ground and in the air.
