Never travel with UIA! In may 2016 I booked a ticket from Amsterdam to Dubai via Kiev, scheduled on the 9th of august 2016. Yesterday I informed if it was possible to change my flight to 12th of august 2016 instead of the 9th. I was told it was possible. They would send me a link to confirm the change add an extra payment of 260 euros. They sent me the link, but I never confirmed. Later that day I decided not to change my flight because my company in Dubai needed my return as soon as possible. I sent an e-mail to UIA, stating that I would not make use of the change in schedule. Today, the 9th of august I wanted to check in with my ticket on Amsterdam airport, but my data were skipped from the ninth to the 12th of august. So I was not able to take my flight. They did the change of flight without my confirmation!! I never payed for the change. I tried to call UIA many times today from the airport. But either they were unreachable or they didn't speak English, or they simply disconnected. At Schiphol airport there was no responsable manager from UIA. There was no one to connect with. Finally, back in the city, I could get in touch with UIA. But the guy from UIA said that there were no available flights earlier than the 12th of august and I would have to pay 260 euros again.
Really: their system is fucked, their service is below zero, their approachability is lousy and they don't have respect for the customer. Please don't use UIA. It's a shame that this company is part of a country that applies for membership of the EU!
