I had never flown with this European airline.
What's more, it was a small propeller plane.
As we entered the cabin a stewardess in an Austrian uniform, dressed completely in red, welcomed us with a big smile.
The plane was clean, aisle seat in row 2.
Despite the plane's small size, the legroom was comfortable.
There were no individual video screens, which is normal for this kind of plane.
After takeoff the stewardess came by with a cart of newspapers and magazines, but unfortunately for me, none were in French.
That's too bad since it was a flight leaving from Lyon, France's second-largest city.
I would at least have liked something like Le Monde.
But that's fine, it was a short flight.
Finally the cart arrived with the sweet or salty snacks, a drink (diet coke for me) and a hot tea or coffee.
It's important to remember that a propeller plane is a little noisy.
The flight crew was friendly and cheerful.
The flight had a few small jolts, but nothing that serious.
The landing went smoothly.
The baggage claim was a little slow.
In the end this was a pleasant flight with a good flight crew.
