Very first flight on Malaysia Airlines. In Bangkok, Malaysia Airlines was helped by Thai Airways (for check-in and boarding).
Once on board, my overall impression was rather disappointing, despite the friendly smiles from the flight crew.
Besides the 45-minute delay departing from Bangkok, the main thing I will remember is the appearance of the seats: disgusting.
The safety demonstrations were broadcast in the cabin on video this B737-800. The cold snack was free, but its preparation lacked originality.
All the same, one positive point about the service was an offer of extra beverages during clean up. The flight crew was, it must also be emphasized, very professional. Always cheerful and attentive, they helped distract me from my problems with comfort.
For the record, Malaysia Airlines is competing with Thai Airways and Air Asia on this route.
