Return from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia.
The departure flight was with Air Asia and I was pretty satisfied with it. I wasn't expecting any miracles but I was still happily surprised.
I got to check in at the business counter thanks to my Qatar Gold Card, and my baggage was tagged priority by the charming stewardess. On the other hand there was no lounge in this small airport (as a result I waited in the Westin lounge).
The aircraft was a recently delivered 737 (with the new sky interior) and with large luggage compartments and a light mood throughout the cabin. I was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant welcome on the ground and on board, which was contrary to the reputation of a company whose professional reputation says that its financial difficulties are due to an ultra-unionized staff.
Good onboard service although the service was very European: peanuts and apple juice. Nevertheless that was enough for a 40-minute flight. Finally, the seats had the latest in-flight entertainment available throughout the entire flight (having your own headphones is nevertheless necessary.)
This Malaysian connecting flight ended up offering a much better experience than its low-cost competitor, and at the same price (for a ticket purchased two days before).
