On this short flight designed for quick connections with its international hub in Zürich, Swiss shows that short time doesn't mean low quality.
The lounge in Zürich offers three differents rooms: 1. Business and low statute loyalty cardholders, 2. high statute loyalty cardholders and finally 3. First Class passengers. StarAlliance has understood that the needs of occasional and frequent passengers are quite different and therefore operates seperate lounges with adapted services.
The gate is easily accessible (next to the lounge) and the priority boarding well organized and respected.
In the plane, more than a half of the rows are set up as business class seats (free middle seat). Swiss offers its traditional chocolate to welcome passengers, completed by a croissant (french or bertzel type) and hot or cold drinks. A bottle of Swiss water is available.
Schedule is perfectly respected. This is a Swiss tradition.
As a conclusion, this is just a common short domestic flight operated by good professionals, but nothing exceptional. If you book a one-way ticket a few days before departure as I did, note that the business class fare may be lower than the price for a seat in economy class.
