BAH - GVA with stopover at FRA (and also DOH)

Review of yellowpass about the flight Lufthansa LH0621 between Bahrain and Frankfurt on 05/01/2014 in Business

I am at the airport in Manama again for the return flight ... first a good distinct area separating Business and First Class check-in with a separate security checkpoint too. Then the airport lounge which is hardly soundproof. That doesn't matter though, the wifi and the buffet made up for this very slight inconvenience.

Boarding on time, at 12:20 AM and take-off for Doha. The A330-300 is not full. Surprise, there are luggage compartments above the center rows. A little refreshment and snacks for this short "leg" (section) of the trip.

In Qatar, the stopover was a little too long with this time the 12-seat cabin totally full. In seat 4A, during takeoff it is fun to admire Doha's big buildings and the marina (finally...among other things) that we leave on our left and then a little later Manama under a few clouds.

A small lunch, short sleep, and a small breakfast for an on-time error-free arrival in Frankfort. In the meantime, we were explained the connections at the German hub. Again, in flight, the flight attendant repeated what was just announced by the cockpit crew. That just interrupted the playing of my movie a little more (Darn!). I had chosen Rain Man, because I already knew the movie and could take the risk of not seeing it all.

At the airport, re-entry to the lounge for a coffee, and on-time boarding for the flight to Geneva. Ah, no French publications offered this time. German and English language magazines were offered on board. Frankly, nothing major, but surprising all the same. In any event, I didn't really feel like putting myself in the languages of Goethe or Shakespeare on that particular Sunday. Breakfast again mixed between salty and sweet. It's fine, because even in the morning, I'm not too "sweet." Finally arrived in Geneva on time. Upon arriving, a little shopping in the duty free shop, which is one of the most favourable that I know of and hmpf, there are a lot of people on this Sunday!

The baggage carousel was shared with another flight that had arrived a little earlier. But I recognized my suitcase which must have been one of the first to come up. A good point. There you have it...this is a little "chronicle of my flight" but it summarizes a hapless journey and having had the opportunity to fly in a privileged way.
