In Lima, the check-in was quick and efficient despite the crowd that filled the terminal. It took ten minutes to check-in with a staff that was particularly helpful.
The security check was just as easy, with no problems, and it took about 5 minutes.
The domestic terminal was clean but didn't have a smoking area. The boarding room was jammed. People were panicking a little, and all of the flights were changing gates, sometimes several times. Mine did this as well: changing the gate at what was supposed to be the boarding time.
This was combined with a one-hour delay at 8:19 pm (the flight was supposed to leave at 7:40 pm). We finally took off at 9:05 pm.
On board the plane, the cabin went from refrigerator to oven throughout the flight. The cabin was completely dark except for the 10 minutes before landing.
The LAN snack was served (beverage + an assortment of crackers, peanuts and chocolate wafers.). The beer that I ordered was warm.
Landing happened at 9:53 pm, so much later than expected. There was no excuse or explanation from the flight crew.
I recovered my suitcase at 10:14 pm.
