Flight from AMS to NRT

Review of SLOG90 about the flight KLM Royal Dutch Airlines between Amsterdam and Tokyo Narita on 10/07/2012 in Economy
Note: This review is about an experience that happened more than 3 years ago.

The flight was quite good on the whole.

As far as safety was concerned, there were no major problems. This was the first time I'd used KLM and I wasn't disappointed. The safety instructions were presented in video form (as has been the case on long-haul flights with Air France, Aircalin and Air Austral). The cabin crew came by regularly when we were experiencing turbulence to check that seatbelts were properly attached.

In terms of service, the entertainment offered via the onboard screens was sufficient. However, you need to understand Dutch or English when you take this flight because (as you'd expect) there are not many films in French (or subtitled in French). The hostesses are quite smiley. I had a problem at the beginning of the flight: the headphones I'd been given didn't work. I called for a hostess (who actually didn't come until the meals were being served) and she immediately swapped my headphones for another set that worked.

In terms of comfort, however, there was insufficient space between the seat rows (where I was concerned).
