Flight from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan on Uzbekistan Airways.
Arrived by minibus, and then the first pass through security, with all my baggage. The X-ray wand was nice and it confirmed that the baggage passed with no problems.
Then passage through the "I don't know how to say it..." Let's say the verification of purchasing airline tickets online checkpoint, to make it simple...
Went through the x-ray machine again with all my luggage and waited in line to check-in. Big luggage (checked baggage) was taken, and the gate employee took the tickets and directed me to customs located just behind where we were.
And went through an x-ray machine again, for the third time...
There was an hour before the flight was supposed to leave, so I took the opportunity to do a bit of observation along the long bay window. I discovered a plane that I had never taken before: a B757-200. Positioned at its gate with those annoying bank ads that are usually there. ;)
Next came boarding time, and everything happened very calmly. There was no stampede.
Being assigned to the middle seat, I managed to switch my seat to A and then "voila," my new seat was right in the middle of the wing.
During boarding, I was offered a Coke before the plane pushed back, and then we took off and a left turn with a beautiful view of the airport.
During taxi, the flight attendants brought us a paper where we were to inform the authorities what items we were bringing into their country, money, electronic items, etc... We will have to fill out the same form when we leave that country.
It was a very quiet flight. The flight attendants were cheerful and very pleasant.
No meal for this flight that was about 2 hours long.
Took a trip to the restroom, just to see what it looked like, and the toilet was ok.
Then we started the descent into Tashkent.
We were placed on the runway used for departures and arrivals, because the parallel was being renovated.
We taxied, and disembarked through the back door and towards a bus. Then we went through customs, and collected our checked baggage. Then we waited...more...we waited a long time...not yet...ok...10 min...20 min...30 min...not yet.
After explaining the problem to the manager, we then contacted the lost and found office, and nothing. Then we were in contact with the employee from the airline who was in charge, and we finally found the suitcase. Its tag was taken off upon arrival. Everything was in order.
Then we had to go through the X-ray machine again where we turned in the famous paper that we filled out in the plane. And then we went out of the terminal to go eat in town, before returning to the airport for the flight to Urgench.
Conclusion: except for the problem of having a delay in the city, a very nice flight, even if the lack of enthusiasm wasn't too annoying.
Thank you for reading.
