Poor customer service

We had planned to have a two day visit in Amsterdam before joining a Tuscany tour on June 6. After checking into our room we received a message from Transavia that our June 8 flight was cancelled because of a planned strike of Italian air traffic employees. We were able to rebook our flight to the next day so we would be in Pisa I'm time for our Tuscany tour but we missed one day of our two day stay in Amsterdam incurring extra expenses of the room in Amsterdam and a prepaid visit to the Anne Frank museum of $250. We filed a complaint with Transavia and were denied. $250 is a lot of money to us as we are both retired. If you can fly with another company please do as Transavia certainly will not look after the customers interests.

Worst service ever

If you book with Transavia, prepare yourself for the worst service ever:
- When you ask the staff to order a drink, you get the answer 'We'll be passing by with our food and drink service soon'. Read: 50 minutes later...
- They don't tell you in advance when they have to wait 2 hours (...) in a plane for a stopover as they couldn't land in the Netherlands because of a storm, although they had this information before taking off.
- While the total trip was already 9 hours, and including the delay 11 hours, the only compensation was a cup of tea or coffee.

On my way back I took Qatar Airways for also a very reasonable price. Difference in service was huge: Very convenient chairs, able to charge your mobile during the flight, view movies, smiling staff, and they immediately took my order - for free...

Don't do it, you will regret it!

They cancelled my flight 12 hours before takeoff.

They sent a nice email saying that they would refund my fare. I submitted the information three different times whilst they ignored my emails.

I resorted to contacting them via their Facebook page. They promised to take care of things via email, which they didn't.

After four months of trying to get a refund using their channels, I hired a third party to retrieve my refund.

Transavia's customer service is appalling/nonexistent. Beware!

Disgraceful customer service

As a frequent business flyer, I would choose carefully before selecting Transavia. In 20 years of business travel I have never been humiliated to such an extent in front of other passengers. The checking-in attendant was adamant that my case has to go in the hold. I politely asked for the case to join me in the cabin, which was declined a number of times. At one stage I was refused access to the aircraft and detained on the concrete stand until the attendant went to get his supervisor. You can see & hear from the footage I have attached that I was even threatened with the police at one stage.

When the Transavia staff one their little victory over me and as I looked back while climb the stairs to the aircraft after they took my case they were all laughing at the situation. I'm a senior Operations Director of one of the largest technology companies in Europe and I have never been treated as appalling as this ever before by an airline.

The crazy situation, you can see the high level cupboard above my seat was empty. An absolute disgrace.

No flight - No customer care

Flight was supposed to leave at 8:30am.

It is now 2:30pm - thats 6 hours and we have had false expectations of a new departure time twice already. Have talked to Transavia (politely) and they hung up. There are no updates on their website or Facebook page and they are not responding to chats.
BCN airport emailed them at 10:30 for permission to give stranded passengers water and food. At the time of writing they haven't even bothered to replied.

Judge for yourselves. I will never trust this airline again.

The plane left on time and arrived 20 minutes early. It was a Boeing 737-800 in good shape. The flight crew was mindful of security and very nice (unlike on the departure flight). A low-cost airline the way it should be.

Standard low cost

We left 45 minutes late (for technical reasons announced on the ground and for document checks announced by the captain) and arrived 45 minutes late.

The plane was a Boeing 737- 800 that was in good shape inside and outside. There were no particular problems. The crew was careful about security but not very friendly.

Very good

A very fast flight with an on-time departure. The flight crew was very nice and friendly. On the other hand they disinfected in front of everyone, which stunned all the people watching. A very calm flight with good food. I will use them again.
