With its orange-dominated colour scheme and low prices, and with the additional service options (paid for) offered, the Brazilian airline GOL is reminiscent of a European low cost airline.
I liked the automated check-in booth (easy to use: you just have to provide your name and choose your seat), the different choices of paid for snack (preferable to the salted crackers you get no choice about provided by TAM), the reclining seats (which tend to disappear when it comes to internal flights in France), the opportunity to earn Flying Blue air miles (I'm crossing my fingers that they'll be attributed automatically, otherwise it will be necessary to go through all the administrative paperwork with Flying Blues in France to sort it out) and the efficiency of the cabin crew.
On the other hand, I had problems with the online ticket purchase. In particular, it forces you to provide a state (as well as a country) but doesn't provide choices except for certain countries (I therefore entered a US state), and there are other similar constraints.
Finally, for those planning to go and watch the football in Brazil in June: I'm not sure the airport expansion will be completed...
