This is the worst airline ever! I purchased tickets online; however, I come to find out, I can't cancel tickets on line. (Interesting). Because then when I call to cancel, the phone lines ring for ever and no agent even picks up. When I finally get through, then I get put on hold 30-40 minutes and no agent returns. At this point, my phone is about to die, so I hang up. I consistently try to call and call to cancel my tickets within the 24 hour period with no success. I keep trying several times for several days. I am finally able to get through (after the 24 hour period) and what do you know, finally an agent answers. She tells me I'm after the 24 hour period so I can't get a full refund. Interesting, right?! I try to explain to the agent what has been happening...she doesn't care.
I ask her, well what is the amount Icelandair will refund me. She can't tell me. She says she doesn't know. This is sooo ridiculous. Unfortunately, I now come to find out this is typical practice of Icelandair. I have read other stories on Tripadvisor stating the exact same thing. This airline is such a scam when it comes to selling tickets.
