The trip was on a luxury suite. The crew was attentive, the service was impeccable and personalized, and the meal was served when requested and cooked by an on-board chef.
Check-in was at T3. We arrived on a limousine, courtesy of the airline. A handler took our luggage and accompanied us to the first class counter, where we could sit.
We were quickly given access to the first class lounge, which is right after border police/security screening. The lounge was crowded, but the breakfast service was excellent.
I declined the complimentary massage that was offered. The bathrooms were spacious and luxurious.
Boarding was at T1, so it required a long walk in cramped and crowded hallways. Again we had to go through security, like in T1. The priority line was not open, but an airline agent placed us at the front of the line (not very discreet).
Etihad has a solid offer, especially with the suite, the on-board service, and the food prepared by the on-board chef.
Some things could still be improved: the champagne was good (Billecart Salmon), but in first class we expected better. Caviar would have also been nice. As well as less announcements in the front cabin.
On the other hand, there were significant advantages: limo service in Abu Dhabi and Paris, and up to two nights in a 5-star hotel in in Abu Dhabi.
We arrived a little late and priority baggage delivery was not respected.
