After having spent the night in Addis Ababa, I continued toward my final destination, which was Dakar.
By 7:37 am I was already in the departure lounge. There were no formalities to go through since I'd done those the night before from BZV.
I spent a total of 30 minutes at the security gates and immigration (for those who travel with ET often) and boom, I was in the departure lounge.
9:47 pm.: Boarding onto a Boeing 767-300 ET-ALP.
10:16 pm.: Takeoff, 9h30min flight to Dakar with a layover in Bamako.
After an hour layover and refueling, we left at 2:52 pm to continue to Dakar on a 1h35min flight.
At 4:05 pm (local time) we landed at Dakar's LSS airport after a total journey of 9h30min. The luggage was managed perfectly, and none of it was lost, but there was a long wait at immigration because there were only two windows.
P.S. Ethiopian is an airline that I strongly recommend. I've never been disappointed with their onboard service, luggage handing or passenger management. It's not always perfect but it's better than the competition.
There is a reason that Ethiopian has been named Africa's best airline for three years running.
