First flight on a 787-800

Review of Ls31 about the flight Ethiopian Airlines between Brazzaville and Addis Ababa on 14/12/2014 in Economy
Ls31 ET / ETH BZV / ADD

First flight onboard the Ethiopian Airlines' Dreamliner (the first African airline to have one, with a fleet of ten 787s).

With a few hours of initial delay at departure, which was at 2:25 pm, flight ET831, operating on a 787-800 (ET-ADU), left Brazzaville at 3:17 pm under an overcast sky for a 4h20min flight to Addis Ababa.

As usual with this company, the service was impeccable, the cabin was clean and comfortable, the light from the windows could be controlled and above all the windows were larger than those on other aircraft, and the difference was really noticeable.

At 8:50 pm local time, we landed at our destination. There were some immigration formalities to go through and as well as a health inspection because of the Ebola epidemic raging in Africa.

We took a special shuttle to our four-star hotel where we spent the night while waiting for my connecting flight to Dakar the next morning.

Traveling with Ethiopian is a delight. I can recommend it strongly compared to other African airlines.
