A rough trip

Review of maxoulyon about the flight Aer Lingus between Shannon and London Heathrow on 07/08/2014 in Economy

The flight was announced on time. Boarding was quick.
The plane looked quite antiquated, though it was clean.

The seats were of the fabric kind, a bit carpet-like, and there was a serious lack of leg room. Dear airlines, we are willing to pay 10-20 euros more for our ticket for a few centimetres extra (and that's without mentioning business class). There aren't many emergency exit type places available, and they're too quickly grabbed.

The steward with the stained tie looked drained and seemed to be operating in "automatic mode": a vacant look in the eyes and no smile. This was not really a problem as the flight was not expensive; but when providing a service it doesn't cost anything to smile, basically.

Drinks have to be paid for on board. Had a decent coke for two euros, but the can was dirty, which was a pity :( I purchased the model of the plane for nine euros. The onboard catalogue boutique is well stocked, which is pleasing.

Despite good meteorological conditions, the landing was rough. It was on time though.
