Dilapidated plane but reasonable service

Review of MANU54 about the flight Pullmantur Air PLM6021 between Paris Orly and La Romana on 01/03/2014 in Economy
Note: This review is about an experience that happened more than 3 years ago.

Outbound flight 01/03: as indicated in the forums, this is an airline that uses dilapidated planes which have already seen a number of years service with foreign airlines (e.g. India...).
There was a three hour delay, but that mustn't be allowed to spoil the overall impression. Yes, the plane was dilapidated, the screens didn't work, which is a problem on a long-haul flight, but there's nothing to report about the rest of the flight. The flight passed fine, with a nice cabin crew, and the meal and snack weren't bad, at least for a charter flight of a good standard.
There was a one hour delay on the return flight, making us miss our TGV in the end: not cool on a return journey.
The cabin crew were much less pleasant and the screens still not working. When waiting at La Romana you can see the plane on the tarmac and you get a nice opportunity to discern the name of the previous airline, not very professional or reassuring. The fact that the screens still aren't working after such a period of time is unfortunately evidence of a lack of maintenance.
We had a wonderful cruise with Croisières de France, but honestly speaking the fact that such old planes are provided will not encourage us to repeat the experience.
