My trip to Ottawa was somewhat laborious.
With the cancellation of my Rennes-Paris CDG flight, my connections to Montreal and Ottawa were compromised. Air France directed me to Detroit, from where I would go to my final destination of Ottawa on a flight operated by Delta Airlines.
Unfortunately, the attendant couldn't speak any French.
After a somewhat late boarding, the plane began to move backwards, at around 10 p.m. I fell asleep immediately because of how late it was and due to the time difference from France.
About 30 minutes later, I was woken up by the attendant, who instructed me to gather my belongings and head to boarding gate A20. The plane was already empty.
Not being fully awake yet, I asked myself if I was already in Ottawa or still in Detroit. But no, I was still in Detroit.
I waited for about an hour in the airport before being able to board another plane.
We finally took off from Detroit at 12:10 a.m., instead of at 9:50 p.m.
Informed about the delay, the attendant was very nice and she seemed to be tired as well.
