The start of the flight San José - Frankfurt (over Santo Domingo) was planned at 7.40 am in San José on 29 July. As we came to the airport, the screen indicated "delayed". We were only said, we have to go the hotel and no information was given to the actual delay. So, we didn't know when we could fly back to Europe. We were brought to a hotel and were informed in the afternoon that the flight would be conducted at 10.30 pm the same day. A bit later, the flight was delayed to 3.30 am the next day. Later, the flight was postponed to the 30 July at 10.30 am. And finally, it was delayed at 12.35 pm. At the airport, there was a delay again and we could start only at 1.25 pm, so with about 30 hours delay... I had an important appointment in Europe the next day, that I missed...
Our plane was actually in Santo Domingo and due to a technical problem, it could not fly further. Another plane was brought from Europe. On board, the staff was OK. The problem was the food, which had been stored on the first plane during 30 hours. I just got sick after eating it... Moreover, there is a very small place for the legs, it is very unconfortable, especially when the trip lasts 14 hours.
After that very tiring trip, I wrote to Condor according the EU-regulations. Condor had to pay for the desagrement 600 EUR. They refused. This is why I contacted a group of lawyers and won a process against Condor.
Just an advice: avoid Condor!
