Responsive and devoted China Airlines ground staff at Qingdao. They tried to make every passenger at ease—we had a three hours delay due to a summer typhoon.
A rather long pitch for every seat in the main cabin. The interior was classic CI, purple shaded velvet. The personal screen was alright, it was rather an intuitive OS, with a lot of range of entertainment to choose from (TV comedies to documentaries, to games, and music, and it goes on and on and on).
Of course, a dedicated and polite attention, typical Asian style. It was a full meal for a 2:50 hours flight, which is awesome; and it's free—comparing to flights in the US or in Europe.
As they often do, China Airlines add one pineapple cake, a typical Taiwanese dessert; coffee, tea and alcohol are complementary. The boarding process was neat, the landing was smooth, and they were pretty helpful for all the custom procedures once we arrived at Taoyuan.
