This flight from Athens back to London Heathrow was showing up as slightly late by about 10-15 minutes, but departed on time and landed slightly ahead of schedule into Heathrow thanks to a speedy turn-around by BA staff & their colleagues at Athens.
The economy class cabin for our return from our weekend in Athens was as expected for British Airways. Plenty of leg room, even though economy, and reasonable elbow room. Its very much helped by the fact that the seats are in 2-3-2 configuration, if two people are travelling together and one wants a window seat (as I often do) your companion isn't stuck with being in the middle - they get the aisle.
Worth remembering when choosing your seats. My seat, 13A, didn't have direct access to a window. It was more shared between rows 14 & 13 - its just the way the seating turns out, we are used to thinking planes have windows all the way along without gaps, but this isn't always the case.
One thing worth mentioning is to watch your cabin baggage size - this older 767 doesn't feature the cavernous overhead bins of more modern planes, especially over the middle seats, so some re-arranging and general forcing of bags into tight spaces was taking place. Personally I think some common sense (on baggage sizes) is required as we had no trouble storing either of ours.
Cabin crew service was friendly & attentive. The inflight meal (chicken, pasta) tasted good and was served with a choice of soft drinks or wine. Some snacks & again a choice of drinks shortly after take-off were also provided.
After landing on the easterly 09L runway at Heathrow we had to wait for another plane to depart our stand (as we were early) - our pilots elected to taxi slower than usual to give the other plane time to pushback and leave. We arrived on stand and engine shut-down right on time.
Another great flight from BA.
