Huge improvements on flights

Note: This review is about an experience that happened more than 3 years ago.

I ended up stopping using Air France because of the service onboard (broken seats, TV not working, snooty cabin crew) and on the ground (exorbitant charges for additional baggage): they used to be deplorable, but they've made noticeable improvements in recent years.

Since the baggage policy has been clarified (additional baggage up to 23 kilos) and access to "plus" seats, e.g. next to emergency exits, made available, a seat in a good position in the plane can be guaranteed at a reasonable price.

Previously, you would have to arrive hours early and beg one of the hostesses, who would not always be cooperative, for a seat next to an emergency exit. Things are now clearer and better organised. Service onboard still varies a bit from flight to flight (cabin crew sometimes surly, but also very nice and cooperative sometimes). So Air France has improved therefore.
