Excellent flight (SIN - CDG)

As someone who travels on Air France frequently, I was pleasantly surprised by the new "Best & Beyond" seats they have on their B777s.

Since I traveled Business class, I had the opportunity to test the new "Full Flat, Full Access, Full Privacy" seat. Shaped like a veritable cocoon, this seat has numerous features: it has a lot of organizers, it reclines completely and feels private.
What's more, the screen has an image quality that's clearly superior, just like its size.

The meal they provided has also improved when it comes to tableware. Indeed, I had the pleasure of testing the new plates and and place settings.

Ultimately, this was an excellent flight.

Hé oui, le siège a été changé, mais sans innovation. Le nouveau siège ne ressemble à un cocon que dans le vocabulaire du marketing de la compagnie, et est certes mieux que les vieux NEV qui équipent encore la majorité des avions AF, mais pas mieux que ce qu'on trouve aileurs. Un habitué AF peut effectivement s'émerveiller, mais sinon on ne fait que constater un rattrapage tardif et bricolé (pas de renovation de l'éclairage par exemple). La vaisselle est peut-être nouvelle, mais le service au chariot est dépassé, non personnalisé et réchauffé dans sa sauce ce qu'évitent désormais toutes les bonnes compagnies.
Bref une business rénovée mais loin de l'excellence et un rapport qualité-prix mauvais car quand on paie son billet, on le paie souvent deux fois plus cher que chez la concurrence pour Singapour.
