Ended up on a Travel Service charter plane with an AF ticket

Review of JulienParis86 about the flight Air France AF1637 between Prague and Paris Charles De Gaulle on 10/03/2015 in Economy

Note: This review is about an experience that happened more than 3 years ago.

It was a huge disappointment to see the plane we were taking on our return flight from Prague.

Admittedly, Air France told us the flight would be on Czech Airlines, but not that the latter wasn't going to use one of its own aircraft but instead a Boeing 737-800 from 2002 that it chartered from Travel Service.

That means that the onboard comfort was basic: uncomfortable seats, dirty windows, etc.

The flight crew was cold with just a few fake smiles.

As a "meal," we were given a granola bar and a beverage.

The information provided by microphone was in Czech or in an English that was too fast to understand.

The landing at CDG was pretty rough with violent braking.

One positive thing; the plane was on time despite waiting for two passengers who were still in transit.

In short, when you buy a ticket with Air France, you don't expect to end up on a low-cost charter. Disappointing and stressful.
