A pleasant stopover at Dallas Airport, then it was time to set off on the one hour fifty-five minute flight to Atlanta. The plane was a new one, an A319, and the cabin crew were cheerful and helpful. I was in seat 8A, which was in the front row in economy class. After boarding very quickly and on time, we departed ahead of schedule.
The simulated leather seat was wide and comfortable. It was also equipped with an adjustable headrest. There is an impressive amount of legroom in the front row in economy class.
The temperature in the cabin after take-off was exceptionally high, but then reduced when the food was being served in the cabin by the cabin crew. This is the only negative comment I have to make about this flight.
Surprisingly, the cabin crew served whole cans of soft drinks as part of the cabin service in economy class, which is relatively unusual for an American airline.
So American Airlines has definitely made changes to its domestic service, and they have moved things in the right direction. I would be very happy to fly on one of their services again.
