Flight from PAP to SCU
I was booked on a flight with Aero Caribbean to travel to Santiago de Cuba for a three-day stay. Departure was scheduled for Friday 27 April at 10:00 am. I arrived at the airport at 8:00 am, then at around 9:40 am I became concerned because the check-in desk hadn't opened. I phoned Aero Caribbean and discovered that the flight would be leaving after 4:00 pm. This meant I lost a day's holiday, a day's work, and I ended up waiting at the airport with nothing to do.
Nobody from Aero Caribbean was there to explain what had happened or apologise. The other passengers and I got the impression that Aero Caribbean didn't care about us at all.
With the situation being so unpleasant, I decided to cancel my trip. It's a pity for me and my holidays, and it's a pity too for Cuba and Aero Caribbean, whose image is being tarnished in the public's eyes.
