Worst airline I've ever ever traveled with.

Note: This review is about an experience that happened more than 2 years ago.

Booked a holiday through Thomson Holidays and were given ASL Airlines France for our departure flight. Arrived at checkout desk 3 hours before departure to be told there was a 3 hour delay (no reason given) a £5 voucher was supplied for food and drink, which didn't buy much.

Upon checking the departures screen a few hours later, the time delay changed from 3 to 6 hours, again no reason given.

A few phone calls to complain to staff resulted in everyone being given a £15 food and drink voucher. Staff would not confirm reason for delay and when pressed for a logical reason as to why the plane was so late, the Duty Manager became uptight, she did not handle the situation well by threatening to remove the complainants from the flight who dared to voice their opinions.

The flight was just over 6 hours delayed and by that time we had been in the airport for 9 hours and the pilot apologised for the delay blaming the weather?

It was heavy rain but not excessive and did not stop any other flights from arriving or leaving the airport.

The plane itself was old and had run out of sandwiches on both journeys halfway up the plane.

The return journey was also an hour and 10 minutes late (again no reason given) the pilot blamed the air traffic over France was too busy, then Palma ATC would not allow him to start his engines on forecourt, finally he had to wait for a new flight route from France head office.

I travelled on 19th Aug and agree with other bad reviews, this is the worst airline I've ever flown with, the plane was so decrepit that both our food trays were missing and the seats in front had black duck tape holding the legs together, food was overpriced and awful, a toastie was raw on one side and burnt on the other,it's a wonder we didn't have food poisoning. Staff pleasant enough, two hour delay on return, no reason giver until we were on the plane and not even a drink offered as compensation, if Thomsons use this airline again, I will be booking no more holidays with them :-)
