I booked a round trip Paris – Fort de France ticket with Air Caraïbes. On the outward flight, I was informed that the flight would be operated by Corsair. The flight was honest, and the seating arrangements, made with the agency, were respected.
On the way back, I was informed on my mobile phone that the flight would be operated by Hilfly. No one knows this airline, not even the Tourinter representative, or the Havas agency… The Airbus 330/200 plane was done up to contain as many people as possible, and the choice of seats made at the agency was not respected. I had asked for an aisle seat, but found myself on a window seat – except that there was no window and I had trouble staying upright. Luckily, we could incline the seats during the flight and so I had a part of the window of the passenger behind me.
It was pretty much a flight from Fort de France to Paris on the day after the end of year holidays. With rare exceptions, passengers were all francophone. None of the flight attendants spoke any French. I asked for some water, and they didn’t understand…
We had a screen in front of us… But there was nothing to see.
I must add that although I was able to speak English, this was not the case for everybody. Very bad return flight.
